Episode 6: Sans Gemmeni

Finally we break the hour barrier on the Daevacast! Without Gemmeni we Soldier on, with or without the presence of his voice cult, and discuss in detail the Character transfers, the new 2.0 sub-level 50 instances, and we reveal the secret behind the ‘Daemion Drop’.

  • Pre-Order pets and pet classes revealed
  • Character Transfers re-established – Planned re-enabling on Monday 16th at 4pm, first wave Wednesday 18th.
    • All transfer caps supposedly include inactive accounts/chars (Source). Yet they don’t include mules (Source). Also, the ‘dynamic caps’ haven’t been explained well enough.
    • Ayase has been documented as posting on Aionsource about this topic while the official Aion forums are ignored. (Proof Proof Proof (Or lack thereof) -You have to be logged in to see the final link.)  Last post on Official Forums was 9th August. And Ayase is now at Gamescom.

    • EU Transfers
      • No Elyos able to transfer out of Perento to anywhere in EU servers. (Less than 24 hours after activation)
      • Asmos can only transfer to Balder/Suthran (< 24hrs after activation) – Circe attempted a transfer himself after this was carried out, and managed to transfer to Spatalos or Suthran.
      • Asmos cannot transfer to Telemachus despite being Elyos dominated (< 1hr after activation)
      • No Asmos can transfer to Perento (< 1hr after activation)

  • No Dash of Daevas news as of yet - We’re still anticipating crowns by this Friday
  • The PTS incremental patch began yesterday – Information says it will be ready for play on 19th August. As can be seen by the Screenshot Circe took. However, the original post on Aion’s official site said 18th.
• Aion 2-point-’Ohhhhhh’ – Corrections to Instance notes from Aionsource
  • In addition to Aionsource – Haramel
    • Although there are alot of areas where you can skip mobs if you require, not only are there collection quest available, some mobs also drop the key to a chest only a few minutes into the instance, halfway up a large tower, which can drop unique looking equipment.
    • The first ‘boss encounter’, Supervisor Kakiti, can yield the Bayonet greatsword. This is the mumu that Aionsource claims is ‘being promoted’… Bad translation propbably.
    • The Researcher drops Flower Daggers.
    • The prison guard towards the end drops the Jeongon Mace.
    • No mention of who drops the Dukaki Handyman Staff
    • When the final boss is defeated, he leaves behind a golden chest, from which as many as four pieces of green gear, including armor, have been known to drop.  This has included the lowest known level chain with the healing boost stats on them.
  • In addition to Aionsource – Nightmare
    • Throughout the instance there are specific buffs and skills which have been talked about all over the AIon community, notably, the ability to summon Rotan as a pet.
    • Unlike Fire Temple, this instance does not have a random chance of seeing the stronger version of the end boss, Judge Kaliga.  (Aionsource quote “I’m unclear whether or not one can obtain corrupt judges on purpose.”) Daevacast has your information; and the answer is you can.
    • On the first run of this instance, you may only encounter the regular version, Corrupted Judge Kaliga, who can drop legendary armor.
    • From the second run of this instance, the trickiness begins.  You can choose your path through the instance, in order to meet strengthened or weakened bosses, as you may prefer. Should you decide to kill more than one secondary boss throughout this instance, you will only see the weakened version of Kaliga in that run.  If you defeat Lady Angger, the weakened Kaliga also appears, so to get the elite version (he is an elite in strengthened form), you must defeat only one of either Counselor Hamam and Vice Judge Weir.
    • Important to note that the elite form of Kaliga drops a key to the many weapons on display in the final room.  These are gold weapons, and you can choose your reward using the key, so there is no chance of getting a bow as a Spiritmaster, or a staff as an Assassin.  A worthy reward for all your hard work!
    • All weakened bosses throughout the instance drop the legendary “Corrupt Judges” set of each armor type, again, a prominent piece for clerics and perhaps chanters, with all pieces including a significant healing boost.

• Gold Drop:
  • The ‘Daemion Drop’ – When gliding with a height advantage over a gliding opponent, close your wings, cast a slowing spell/skill, then open your wings again. Unless your enemy is quick enough to dispel the Slow status before dying, their wings will close due to being unable to maintain the speed able to continue gliding. They will fall and die, and because you caused it, you will get the Abyss points and one less Asmo- I mean, enemy, to deal with.
